Vague is an experimental modular uppercase typeface for display applications. It uses a square grid-based framework taken from the analysis of Chinese characters structure and uses the constraints of this grid to explore the visual relationship between Roman and Chinese character.

Sans serif and uppercase typeface, these letterforms have one objective, fill the square.

In this system, every letterform has a matching square character. The structure and the colour of each stroke are designed to ensure legibility within abstraction.

The content of square structure are various but visually harmonious and also could be seen as a series of pattern to apply in different kinds of visual communication.
